Friday 12th February BRISBANE Business SWAp will be having Paul Timms present the benifits of using the speaking platform to market your business to a wider audiance. According to Paul this presentation is well worth it for the business owner who wishes to grow quicker then normal.

I am looking forward to this presentation as I know some other people are as well.

After the meeting is over, I will be attending a business focus group which will only have 12 business owners their. This focus group is to assist the business owner to acheive more in the time allocated then they will have normally completed before.

I plan in this time enhance my website content and other parts of my business. I will grow the business through many means. One being social media. This is working for locating Speakers for BRISBANE Business SWAP.

I am off to have my late night dessert and going to bed. Thank you for reading.

कीपिंग इन touch

Below is a copy of an infomail I receive from Scott Bywater, who I subscribe to for copy writing ideas. I have placed this information on the blog as it is parallel with the service I provide. I conduct telephone campaigns on your behalf to your database for cleansing or product marketing purposes. The importance is shown below of having the correct contact information.
*******
There is a saying in marketing circles that "the money is in the (customer) list"

But when I suggest people keep in touch with their prospects or customers, the big thing I commonly hear is: "But I don't want to annoy them" Well, I recently came across a handy piece of information when reading one of Dan Kennedy's books: "A Customer (or prospect) loses about 10% of its value every month it is neglected" Stop and think about what this means for a moment. If you spend a bundle attracting a prospect or customer, and don't stay in touch with them, 11 months from now they'll be worth as much as the random names pulled from the white pages. The key: stay in touch with your customers or like most databases, yours will end up worthless. And make it interesting, informative, entertaining & commercial. Sure, you may annoy the minority. For instance, when I first started writing this daily email I was worried that I might annoy people. And I know for a fact that I do. But I also know that I make more. And the positive feedback I get – both personally, and to my bank balance - is certainly worth it. Truth is, you're far better off annoying the minority in exchange for the raving fans you will generate... than you are trying to avoid annoying anyone and have them forget about you.

Makes sense, right?

For instance, since I have had kids I have found it tough keeping in touch with people and some of my friendships have dropped off a little. Obviously, if I was to jump on the phone with my friends (or send them a letter) every day or two, we would have a closer relationship.
And it's the same with your customers. Of course, you don't have to contact them daily. You can do it weekly or monthly. But at the end of the day, you've got to do it.

It takes discipline. It takes time. And while I can help you get people to put their hand up and express their interest in your services (such as the first lesson of http://www.morecustomersmadeeasy.com

Only you can consistently keep in touch with them. In the words of the late Jim Rohn: "Easy to do, easy not to do" But it will make a heck of a difference to your bottom line. All for now, Scott Bywater

Here it is, the year 2010. Friday 5th February is the first breakfast for BRISBANE Business SWAP. We will have Kevin Ryan, with “Tilt! Sell. Selling Skills for a Buyer’s Market”.

My role as speaker seeker for the club has proven to be exciting. Using social media to increase contacting people, easier. Twitter is working a treat. I have speakers following who know of other speakers and have recommended several speakers to me. Much easier then having to follow people. Linkedin is another source of speakers who have proven to keep an eye on what is going on out there in presentation world. I seem to be getting contacts from a variety of presenters. This is truelly what I was trying to develop for this year. I am putting into place systems and developing a whole new strategy.

I am looking forward to the first meeting with the business mentoring club which Chris Bakens is developing.

A very exciting year.

"The only person stopping you, is you"

I will have a complete new website up soon for business. Looking forward to developing the information for it.

Already have a new website for speaking. http://www.brianhaupt.com

Have a twitter account; @vipas01

Plus you will find me on Linkedin. Just do a search.

पेन Friend

The Pen Friend is a device with a lazer which recognises a sticker and allocates recording time to that particular sticker. I am able to place these stickers on either groceries, documents of importance, letters which need to be sent on a particular day. I can even place them on cd's so I know what I have in my hand.

With approximately 72 hours of recording time on the pen it will hold music as well. It comes with a pack of stickers and each sticker is unique. The device has the gives me the ability to delete recordings when necessary as the particular sticker may be allocated to something else. The applications are massive. I will not be targeting the blind with this device, but the elder generation and organisations where they believe that recognising a persons recorded voice for professional security purposes may come in handy.

As i have more information I will be posting it. As soon as I am able to develop a youtube video to demonstrate I will have the link up on here.

wWriting

Hey there,

This weekend I am writing a submission for a NEIS education booklet. Except it needs to be around 2,500 words. I will need ot add some stories into it. I was able to add another 500 words yesterday, just by writing about a situation which happened on the trip returning from Kilimanjaro to Dubai.. So much easier when you are able to come from past experiences. All around the subject of negotiation.

Today I will add possibly another 500 about procrastination, or waiting for someone else to do whatever you expect them to do. When it turns out they didn't do it because they thought you should do it.

All right till next time. Have a great weekend and prosper.
